    Mon 26 Jun 2023

A huge well done to Lottie, Naiya, Isha, Isabel and Yasmin for arranging a really successful cake sale this week. The girls worked with Mrs. Keane to organise children brining in their money, where the cake sale would be held and also brining in lots of cakes too. The girls raised £104 for REACH charity. A superb effort and a great example of our children going above and beyond for others.

    Mon 26 Jun 2023

In this week’s assembly, year 1 and 2 had a visit from Terry and Charlie.  Terry came in to talk to the children about the blind challenge they will be taking part in. It was very exciting and a great way for us to support the Guide Dogs. I also led an assembly about World Make Music Day. I spoke to the children about the mental health benefits of music. We also created our very own piece of music using body percussion. It was a fantastic assembly and the children thoroughly enjoyed it.

  • Enjoyment – Year 6 residential

    Fri 23 Jun 2023

It was great to see the year 6 children on their residential this week. It is always a challenging year, and it was great to see them have the opportunity to have fun with their friends before they leave us and go to their secondary schools. The children thoroughly enjoyed a range of activities including: archery, fencing, the zip wire/leap of faith, the night line, a camp fire and a scrap heap challenge. It was great to see the children outside of the school environment and challenging themselves to do different activities. A massive thank you to all the staff who gave up their time to attend the residential and to the parents for supporting the trip. Well done year 6, another successful residential

  • Reflection and Respect – Assembly this week

    Fri 23 Jun 2023

In this week’s assembly, we talked to the children about World Environment Day. Mrs Keane led the assemblies which reinforced our work on ‘caring for the environment’. The children were very engaged in the assembly and had a superb discussion about ways we can help to protect the environment. This year’s focus was on reducing plastic pollution and what we can do to reduce it in school.
