  The year 3 children were really enjoying their art session this week. They were developing their skills in mixing paints to create different colours and painting a background to this.

  The year 2 children were really enjoying their music session today. They have reached the culmination of their topic and used symbols to create a graphic score. Excellent effort year 2 

  

• Respect and Determination - Eco Team

  We have just received our new Eco badges for the Eco Team to wear. I know they will wear them with pride. We have an incredibly determined team, who really want to make a difference to the school. They are planning their first project and aiming to get the Eco Award this year. Well done Eco Team. 

  

• Curiosity - Year 6 Science

  The year 6 children have been learning about circuits and this week had to apply that knowledge to make a working torch. They found it a challenge but the results were excellent. Awesome effort year 6! 

  

• Determination - Year 2 dance

  The year 2 children have been learning about life cycles and in their PE they have been creating a dance to show the life cycle of a frog. This is the children when they were eggs just before they turned into tadpoles. Great creative learning year 2!

  

• Enjoyment - Year 5 RE

  During their RE session this week, the year 5 children were learning about the importance of love to Christians at Christmas. The children wrote play scripts and filmed their acting. Fantastic effort year 5! 

  

• Curiosity - Foundation Diva lamps

  The children in the Foundation stage have been learning about Diwali and how it is celebrated around the world. They have learnt about 'the festival of light' and made Diva lamps out of clay. A lovely effort from all the Foundation children. 

   

  

• Determination and Enjoyment - Year 6 Art

  The year 6 children are really enjoying their art work this half term. They have studied the work of graffiti artists and discussed the messages behind the artist's work. They created their own messages to add to a new famous piece of graffiti in Nottingham. 

  

• Respect - Children in Need

  The children had a fantastic day coming into school in non-uniform. We used assembly time and some of our lessons to talk to the children about the importance of Children in Need and why we support it. They loved the yummy biscuits at lunch too.

  The children were really interested and inquisitive about Remembrance Day. They asked lots of pertinent questions and enjoyed learning about the significance of the Poppy. Well done to all the children who took part in the Remembrance Day Poppy Challenge. We had some incredible entries which can be found through the curriculum tab and on the Art page - Amazing effort
