Global Citizenship and Charity Partnerships

At Lady Bay School, children are encouraged to develop the knowledge, skills and values they need to engage and contribute positively to the world. They are helped to understand they everyone has rights, but along with these rights people also have 'responsibilities'. Our curriculum themes are linked to Global Citizenship concepts so that children can develop an understanding of these concepts in 'real-life' and meaningful contexts.

In addition, we have formed partnerships with three locally based charities. Through working with these charities and through fundraising for these charities,  we aim to support children in making a real difference to other people's lives.

We fundraise for numerous events throughout the school year, but the three charities we work closely with are Footprints, Education for the Children and Guide Dogs for the Blind.
