  • Collaboration and Reflection - Year 1 maths

    Year 1 have been working incredibly hard in their maths lessons this week. They worked collaboratively and then independently to show their understanding of greater than and less than. A super effort comparing numbers.  
  • Enjoyment - Year 4 Art

    Year 4 have been exploring the work created by Gustav Klimt. Kilmt's painting 'Baby' was used as inspiration for their pieces. An excellent effort using different textures and colours to create lovely pieces of Art. 

     

  • Enjoyment - Gareth Baker our Reading Patron came to visit

    Our Patron of Reading came to visit and inspire the children today. Gareth Baker is a professional author, who has had quite a few of his books published. He spoke to the children about being an author and how he got to where he is today. Gareth will be visiting us twice a half term inspiring all of our Lady Bay children to read for pleasure. A fantastic day and the rest of the children are excited to see him tomorrow. 
  • Enjoyment - Foundation self-portraits

    The children in Foundation stage have settled in fantastically well and are enjoying the new unit. They had a lovely art activity, drawing their self-portraits. They thoroughly enjoyed the session. 
  • Enjoyment and Collaboration - Art and PE in Year 5

    Year 5 have had a fantastic afternoon of PE and Art. They were scaling up designs in art and playing Dodgeball in PE. Excellent collaboration and lots of enjoyment too! 
  • Respect - Jeans for Genes

    What a super day. Thank you to the children and staff for paying £1 and wearing their jeans to support an amazing charity. Jeans for Genes is the annual fundraising event which supports Genetic Disorders UK and one we support every year. A fabulous day at Lady Bay.
  • Reflection and Curiosity - Science in year 4

    Year 4 have been undertaking science experiments. They were asking questions and making predictions about what they thought might happen when adding water to different solids. They then reflected on their predictions by observing the results. Fantastic 
  • Collaboration - Fantastic PE in year 2

    It has been a beautiful day at Lady Bay Primary School. It has been fantastic to see so many happy faces working together in PE. The year 2 children were improving their accuracy by throwing and rolling balls. A lovely afternoon of collaborative learning in the sunshine.

    We have launched our new approach to teaching reading today. Our Structured Reading approach ensures every child reads high quality texts with their teacher and that every child is taught effective comprehension skills. Exciting times
  • Curiosity and Enjoyment - Mediterranean food tasting in year 3

    Fantastic to see such happy and smiling faces in school. The children in Year 3 loved to try different foods form the Mediterranean. It was all done in a Covid safe way but it didn't spoil the fun the children had. It was a super way to learn about food from another culture and reinforce their understanding of the topic.
