• Respect - Jeans for Genes

  Thank you to all the children for coming into school in their Jeans today. We are so proud that we support this amazing charity every year. Jeans for Genes have supported children at our school previously and we feel it is really important to share the work they do with our children each year. A super day for everyone. 

   

  

• Curiosity and Enjoyment - Mediterranean food tasting in year 3

  The children in year 3 had a fantastic session tasting different foods from the Mediterranean. They tired olives, sun dried tomatoes, Spanish peaches, French Brie and lots more. A fantastic way to launch a new topic. Some were more of a hit than others. 

  

• Curiosity and Enjoyment - Year 2 Planetarium

  The year 2 had a fantastic session this week in the Planetarium. They spent time inside finding out all about space to support their topic. They learnt about the stars and different constellations. I had a sneaky peak inside and it was awesome. 

  

• Determination - Year 1 maths

  It was fantastic to have a walk around year 1 this week. There was so much purposeful learning happening and the children were very engaged. It was lovely to see them using Numicon to solve a problem. They had to piece together bits to create number bonds to 10. A super effort.

  A warm welcome to all of our new foundation children. They have shown what a lovely group of children they are and I am certain they will have a fantastic year. I look forward to getting to know them more over the next few weeks. 

  

• Enjoyment and Curiosity - Year 6 Pok-A-Tok lesson

  The children in year 6 are loving learning about the Mayans. They really enjoyed playing Pok-A-Tok and making comparisons to Basketball. A fantastic effort and I am sure their writing from it will be excellent.
