It was great to welcome Partake theatre group back in to Lady Bay this week. It was fantastic to walk into the Lower School Hall and see so many of the year 5 children really enjoying learning about Jason and the Golden Fleece. Partake always find amazing ways to immerse the children in the subject matter. The children took on different acting roles within the story and I am certain they will have retained lots of what they have learnt. A lovely day and a super experience.

  • Reflection and Respect – Assembly this week

    Thu 15 Jun 2023

In this week’s assembly, we talked to the children about equality and protected characteristics. I read the story ‘Mixed’ to them to encourage the children to think about what inclusion is and then we discussed what discrimination us and what it might look like. For year 1 and 2, we talked about what it might look like in school and how we can include everyone in what we do. For the older children, we covered school and also what this might look like in the wider community and the workplace. A really interesting topic.
