  • Curiosity - Year 6 D and T Project

    Mon 16 Dec 2019

For their D and T project, the children in year 6 worked incredibly hard to create a steady hand game. They had to measure accurately to the nearest millimetre, draw the net of a cube and create a working circuit that included an alarm and bulb as a gift for parents. They loved it and it really stretched their mathematical and scientific understanding.

  • Enjoyment - Panto 2019

    Wed 11 Dec 2019

A fabulous afternoon yesterday at Sleeping Beauty. I was so proud of the year 1, 2 and 3 children, who joined in and were impeccably behaved.

  • Reflection - Election Day at Lady Bay

    Tue 10 Dec 2019

A fantastic morning. The children learnt all about our political system, how democracy works and chose from the local candidates after reading their manifestos. The also wrote their own manifestos on what was important to them and their lives. Lots of reflection on their beliefs and their values.

  • Determination and Reflection - 500 word story winners

    Mon 09 Dec 2019

The children produced excellent 500 word stories and it was very difficult to choose between them. However, two stories were picked out by the School Council as the overall winners. These children received a £25 book voucher.

Two runners up were also picked and they received a £5 book voucher.

We also had lots of storied that were highly commended for the effort the children put into them.

A superb competition and a fantastic effort by all the children.
