Curiosity - Water resistance in Year 5
Wed 18 Mar 2020Year 5 had a super afternoon investigating water resistance. The children made predictions on which shapes would fall the fastest and timed how long the different shapes fell to the bottom of the tube. A lovely afternoon -
Enjoyment and Reflection - Art in EYFS
Fri 13 Mar 2020Belinda (a professional artist who supports our children) was in delivering a an art afternoon to the foundation stage children. The children thoroughly enjoyed making a bird bath and some flowers to be mounted on a display. A fantastic afternoon. -
Curiosity and Reflection - Year 1 Science
Fri 13 Mar 2020The year 1 children were doing some fantastic experiments during science week. They were asking questions and making predictions about what they thought might happen. The children then discussed what happened and if they were right.

Wed 11 Mar 2020As a part of our unique offering, children in year 3 have the opportunity to take part in the Arts Award. They had a fantastic time leaning a new dance and starting their art project. -
Curiosity - Science week
Wed 11 Mar 2020We are having a really interesting week this week at Lady Bay. It is science week and the children have been taking part in lots of experiments and investigations. Mr Irving - a parent of a child - came in to share his experience of being a surgeon. a fascinating launch to science week.

Respect - The fire service visit Lady Bay
Mon 09 Mar 2020The children in foundation stage had a very interesting visitors this morning. 4 members of the Nottingham fire service came in to talk to the children about their jobs, what they do on a daily basis and to explore all the different parts of the fire engine. This helped to support their topic on 'People that help us'. A lovely morning. -
Reflection and Curiosity - Year 4 visit to Lincoln castle
Mon 09 Mar 2020Year 4 had a superb day at Lincoln castle. The children had the opportunity to explore the grounds, reflect on what life was like as a Roman soldier and to do an archaeological dig to find Roman artefacts. A lovely day reinforcing their learning about the Romans. -
Enjoyment, Curiosity and Collaboration - World Book Day
Thu 05 Mar 2020What a fantastic day. So many of our wonderful children dressed up and the costumes were amazing. The staff also made a fantastic effort. It was great to show what a love for reading we all have and it was so lovely seeing our older children supporting and reading with our younger children. There are lots more photos on the class pages. -
Respect and Enjoyment
Tue 03 Mar 2020We have enjoyed welcoming Terry and Charlie into school over the last two days. Terry delivered two assemblies and managed to visit every class in the school. The children loved petting Charlie and hearing about Terry and Charlie’s new role as Guide Dog Ambassadors. As it is World Book Day this week, Terry also shared a poem written especially for our school about Guide Dogs. The children learned a lot about Guide Dog users and had the opportunity to ask Terry lots of questions. The children also learned that not many people with sight difficulties use Braille any more, due to talking technology being available.
