Emmet comes to say farewell

Terry and his guide dog Emmet have been good friends of the school over the last few years. During each visit, the children have learned about how guide dogs are important for helping blind or partially sighted people live independent lives. Last month, Emmet retired so he came for his final visit and the children said their goodbyes. The children also got the opportunity to meet Terry's new guide dog Charlie.

Lady Bay Arts Festival

Some children from all year groups enjoyed taking part in the Art workshops on the theme of 'Water' in preparation for this year's Lady Bay Arts Festival.  All finished artwork will be displayed in the Dragon's Diner on the weekend of 18th and 19th May.  Come and see what talented artists we have at Lady Bay Primary School.

Red Nose Rhumba!!

The children and staff in Key Stage 2 had lots of fun as they energetically danced together on the playground!

Rugby Festival at West Bridgford Rugby Club

Art Exhibition

The children have produced some excellent pieces of artwork under the guidance of Hazel and all of the staff. All of the children's work was framed and put on display in the Lower School Hall in the form of an art exhibition. Parents were then able to buy their child's piece of work and order extra copies.  We should thank the diligence and hard work of Louise Warren and Hazel to get the exhibition up and running!  Enjoy the photographs below:

A Sporty Visitor

Emma Wiggs is a Paralympic gold medal winner and five-time World Champion paracanoeist in the women's 200m KL2 class.  We were all totally inspired by Emma who taught us that anything is possible if we remember our ABC! (Attitude, Belief and Challenge).  We look forward to welcoming Emma to our school again later in the year!
