  • Reflection – Assembly this week

    Mon 13 Mar 2023

This week, our assembly focussed on part for our Motto – Caring for the Environment. We talked to the children about food and how it gets from where it is grown to the shops and then eventually into our homes. We talked about the environmental impact of that and also the environmental impact of food wastage. The children were really interested in the subject matter and were surprised to know that 1/3 of all food grown is wasted. We discussed ways that we could not waste food and the children had some super ideas such as: composting any wasted fruit and veg, only taking what you are going to eat and shopping with meals in mind so food is not wasted at home

  • Enjoyment – Foundation trip to the library

    Mon 13 Mar 2023

The children in Foundation enjoyed a walk to the library in West Bridgford on Monday. The staff read to the children, which they all thoroughly enjoyed. The children explored the children’s section and what the library has to offer. Those that brought a library card were able to choose a book too. I really enjoyed walking down with FG too.
