Reflection and Respect – assembly this week

We focused on Dyslexia Awareness week in our assembly this week. I shared a story with the children which highlighted some of the challenges people with Dyslexia might face and asked the children to consider how they would act in certain situations. We also showed the children how people with Dyslexia learn differently. We discussed how we can support each other and what language we can use. We finished the assembly with a look at different people throughout history that have had Dyslexia and the impact they have had. Dyslexia can make certain things more difficult for children but it doesn’t hold you back from achieving what you want to in life.
