Curiosity and Enjoyment – Year 4 trip to Connisbrough Castle
Year 4 had a super (and very sunny) trip to Connisbrouigh Castle this week. The children had the opportunity to explore the castle grounds, see different parts of the castle in real life to support their understanding and find out about the importance of Connisbrough Castle in history. They also had a superb workshop where they got to look at and explore different artefacts belonging to people who would have lived at that time. The children had to match the objects with the people and explain why they reached their decision. A great way to bring history to life and a fantastic way to enrich the subject.
