Caring for ourselves – Year 4 and Foundation Bright time

We would like to once again thank the LBSA for providing the funds for our Bright time. This week, we welcomed in Mini first aid to talk to our children in foundation and year 4. Mini first aid worked with the children in Foundation to supplement their work on people who help us. They talked to the children about the basics of first aid and how to keep safe. They then spent the rest of the day working with the children in year 4. All the children learnt CPR, what to do if someone has had a heart attack, how to treat scalds and burns and how to help someone who is choking. They were also able to ask lots of questions too. These lifesaving skills are not on the school curriculum but are part of the bespoke journey the children take through their time at Lady Bay. Another super activity funded by the LBSA.
