Be Kind – Assembly this week

This week, our senior leader assembly was focussed on the positive and negative impacts of screen time. As you can imagine, lots of children had a view on this and it sparked a really good discussion in the assembly. We thought about the positives that using screens can bring. The main positives were: using it for research, watching something to find out more about a subject that you enjoy, for talking and playing with friends and helps when they are bored. The main drawbacks were: the impact on your eyes, people spending too much time on them and becoming addicted. George, in year 3, stated, “Too much screen time can affect your eyes and can mean you don’t go out and play with your friends’.
