Growing together – Assembly this week

This week, we focussed our assembly on Chinese New Year. We talked to the children about how Chinese New Year is linked to the British Values of tolerance and mutual respect and the fact that people celebrate lots of different events and festivals in the UK.  Mrs James worked with some of our children who celebrate Chinese New Year and I wanted to say a massive thank you to Hendrix who shared his experiences. He delivered a super assembly and is being presented with the Above and Beyond award for his efforts. We talked about the similarities and differences between New Year in the UK and Chinese New Year. A super assembly and a great way to celebrate the culture of some of the children at our school.
