Be Ready – Year 5 World War 2 day

Wow, what a fantastic day year 5 had yesterday. We invited Jason King and Chris Reynolds to deliver an action-packed World War 2 day to the children. Jason brought is a range of artefacts for the children to explore. The focus of the day was on the Blitz and what to do in an air raid. They looked at information from the day, they were able to try on different outfits from the war and find out what it was like to be an air raid warden. They found out information about actual people who lived during the war and what happened to them during the Blitz and then visited the air raid shelter in Lady Bay. What a fantastic day and what a super way to enrich their topic.
