Be Ready – year 5 visitors from the Holocaust centre

To support their learning about World War 2, we welcomed visitors from the National Holocaust centre this week. The children in year 5 learnt about the Kindertransport and how Jewish people were treated in Nazi Germany. They listened to different stories about what happened to different people and also heard some survivor stories too. The work also reinforced their understanding of what discrimination is and tired to get them to reflect on what it must have been like to life during that period of time. A really thought-provoking day and one that truly enriches their topic work.
