Be Ready – Boys’ football

Well done to the boys’ football team who played their first full fixture this week after their tournament victory. We travelled to Radcliffe on Trent Junior school for the Rushcliffe Large Schools cup match. There are some changes that the year 6 children are having to get used to as the children can no longer head the ball and there are now no throw-ins. The children in year 5 are used to playing this at weekend teams but this was a change for the year 6 boys. Radcliffe were a very good side, but I am glad to say that the boys played some excellent football and we won the game 2-1. A super individual goal form Ethan and a brilliant team goal from Dan won the game for us. We look forward to seeing who we play in the next round.
