Be Ready – Assembly this week

This week, we used our assembly to introduce or Jigsaw (RHE) topic. This half-term’s topic is about relationships. We started the assembly with a biscuit and asked the children what ingredients you need to make a biscuit. We talked about what would happen if one of the ingredients was excluded from the recipe. We then made the link to relationships. We explored what they feel are the most important ingredients to make a healthy relationship and why they believed this. It was a great way for them to develop their oracy skills. We then moved it on to think about the types of relationships they have and what an unhealthy relationship would look like. It was a really positive assembly and great that the children knew what made a healthy relationship.
