Be Ready – Assembly this week

This week, we had a catch up with the children about their experiences over the Easter holiday. It was really interesting to hear about all the wonderful things they have done over the last couple of weeks. We also talked to the children about St George’s Day. We discussed what the children knew about St George. Most knew about the dragon and saving a princess. We discussed with the children the likely origin of St George and how the story had become a legend over time. They were all interested in the fact that he likely had come from modern day Turkey and the amount of countries that have St George as a patron saint.
