Be Kind – changes to our behaviour policy
We have rewritten our behaviour policy to further enhance the positive strategies teachers are employing. The new policy will be available on the school website next week. The missed play system has changed and will now be called reflection time. This will continue to be done at break or lunch play and will sharply focus on restorative practice and ensuring children have time to reflect on their behaviour choices and try to ensure that behaviour is not repeated. The house that collects the most Dragon’s Gold will continue to have a half-termly reward and we are thankful that the LBSA have said they will continue to fund this.
We will also be sending more ‘Above and Beyond Awards’ out this year. These are delivered in the post and should reflect children who have shown exceptional effort or shown selfless actions to help others. Staff also have some post cards to drop in the children’s bags who have really impressed them with a piece of work or something they have done at school. These are in addition to the weekly certificates
