Lady Bay School in the Local Community

Our Harvest Festival donations

We are always looking for ways to inspires and think about our children’s personal development. Harvest Festival is a great time to think about what we have to be thankful about in our lives and to also discuss those who have found themselves in difficult times. This week, we focused on the work that Framework do. Framework have an office and two properties a few doors down from the school. We talked about loss, homelessness and how we can support others. It was fantastic to see so many donations and the support from the parents was amazing. The year 6 children really enjoyed delivering the items and the team at Framework were really grateful. A positive experience all round.

Growing Together – Year 4 Bridge Opening

The children in year 4 have been working with the team from Balfour Beatty and were excited to be invited to the opening this week. The year 4 team walked to the Waterside Bridge first thing in the morning to meet the representatives from the Council and William Booth School. We were then joined by hundreds of people who have worked on the project over the last few years. Some of our children cut the ribbon which officially opened the bridge and were on the TV too. What an amazing experience!
