We were delighted to Hatvi from the Rushcliffe Food Bank to speak to the children this week. Hatvi talked to the children about the work they do at the Food Bank and how much of an issue homelessness and hunger is in Nottingham currently. She also talked to the children about Harvest Festival and why it is celebrated at this time of the year. We are collecting for the Rushcliffe Food Bank next Monday and Tuesday. Please ask your child to bring donations to their class where we will sort them to give to the Food Bank on Wednesday. We also have our own Food Bank donations box in reception. The basket remains there all year and you are able to make donations at any point. The assembly this week linked to the British Value of Mutual Respect.
