We welcomed the children back to assembly this week with brief sharing of what we did over the holidays. We then discussed the theme for the week which was World Environment Day 2026 which is being held over the World today. We discussed the theme – ‘Now for Climate’ and why they felt it was an appropriate name. We talked about the issues the world is facing, what the greenhouse effect is and what we can do to limit our impact on the environment. We made the link to the British Value of Mutual Respect and how we take responsibility for the wider society.
