Be Ready – Assembly this week

We were delighted to invite Terry in for this week’s assembly. Terry comes into school termly to talk to the children about our partner charity (The Guide Dogs). He always gives the children an update on what his life has been like recently and what he has been doing for the charity. Terry had been given a new Guide Dog recently but unfortunately it did not work out so he has to wait until next year to be given another one. Terry told the children about getting used to life without a dog (after having one for such a long period) and some of his struggles using a stick. It is always brilliant to have Terry in and the children love to see him. They always ask such respectful questions. The assembly reinforced the British Value of Mutual Respect and the Protected Characteristic of Disability.
