Be Ready – Assembly this week

This week’s assembly was linked to the British Value of Democracy. The children discussed what the meaning of democracy was and how we are a democratic country. Mrs. Keane visited the House of Lords in the Summer term and we are taking part in the UK Parliament Teacher Ambassador Programme. The children who want to be part of the school council have been asked to put together a 30 second talk on why they think they will be a good school council member. This will be presented to their peers and then the children from each class will vote for who they want to represent them. This is a fantastic leadership opportunity that the children can take part in and a way they can shape how the school moves forward
