This week, our first assembly was used to show the children the footage of the Boys’ team from Wembley. This seemed fitting as England were through to the semi-finals. The teacher assembly was focussed on the discussion on the need to reduce the amount we use and the ways people in the most remotes parts of the world are doing their bit. The assembly looked at people living in remote parts of the Amazon Rainforest in Ecuador and their use of solar-powered canoes to travel along the river. The children discussed the importance of all of us doing our bit to protect the environment.
