Thursday 25thth April Girls High School
On Thursday after school, the girls’ football team were in action against Nottingham High School. This turned out to be a great game of football, played in a mixture of sunshine, hail, rain, thunder and some lightening in the distance!
Many players for Lady Bay were playing their very first game of football for the school and can be extremely proud of their performances.
The final score was a two all draw, reflective of a fantastic effort from both teams!
Saturday 27th April - Rushcliffe Tournament
An early start on a cold and blustery Saturday morning for the girls as they competed in the Rushcliffe schools tournament at St Peter's school in Ruddington. Confidence was high after being runners up in the previous tournament, but with only 8 minutes per match, it was frantic stuff and difficult to find any rhythm in the first two games. Needing to win our final three games to stand any chance of topping the group, we comfortably won two in succession before unluckily falling to defeat against St. Edmund Campion in our last game to finish third in the group. All the girls can be proud of their performances, and with a bit more luck in front of goal we could have gone much further!

Unfortunately Candleby Lane equalized with minutes to go to force extra time to be played. Lady Bay dominated the extra time and a fabulous goal from Grace Fawcett minutes from the end made Lady Bay worthy winners. A fantastic team performance from all the girls. Well done!
On Thursday 28th February, Lady Bay entered a cricket competition at East Leake. We took a mixed squad of boys and girls to play, including Lucy Sinclair and Lucy Thorne who were representing the school at cricket for the first time. Everyone played fantastically. We won our last match convincingly against Radcliffe Juniors, taking some marvellous wickets and catches. Well done to all the players involved.
