On Monday 4th March, Lady Bay Girls football team travelled to Candleby Lane for an important quarter final fixture. From the start Candleby Lane proved to be strong opposition and worried Lady Bay in the first five minutes of the game. Lady Bay however played brilliant passing football and were the stronger team for most of the game. Lady Bay were leading for most of the second half, thanks to a well worked goal from Lucy Thorne. Unfortunately Candleby Lane equalized with minutes to go to force extra time to be played. Lady Bay dominated the extra time and a fabulous goal from Grace Fawcett minutes from the end made Lady Bay worthy winners. A fantastic team performance from all the girls. Well done!
On Thursday 28th February, Lady Bay entered a cricket competition at East Leake. We took a mixed squad of boys and girls to play, including Lucy Sinclair and Lucy Thorne who were representing the school at cricket for the first time. Everyone played fantastically. We bowled the first team ( Robert Miles) all out with one and a half overs to spare on account of our brilliant bowling and sharp fielding skills. We won our last match convincingly against Radcliffe Juniors, taking some marvellous wickets and catches. Well done to all the players involved.

Two great goals came from Grace Fawcett and a stunning goal from Maia Jackson. The Nottingham team can be proud of their goal which was a fantastic drive from far out leaving the Lady Bay goal keeper with no chance. The afternoon finished with the girls being treated to hot pasta as an after match snack! How brilliant to see girls football being played at such a high level. Well done girls!
